Level Up: Your Instructor Identity
So you know your anatomy and choreography, but how do you give a class that aligns with your unique teaching environment, personal values, and sense of purpose? Furthermore, how do you navigate the many professional opportunities out there, and determine which ones to pursue? In this 2 hour workshop we’ll excavate our deepest motivations and learn how to translate our unique ethos into the “what” and “how” of class creation and delivery, as well as professional choices at large. We’ll look at how different personality traits influence our teaching decisions, from our vocal dynamics and sequencing choices to our cueing styles and class offerings.
This workshop is for movement instructors of any modality, whether you are finding your voice for the first time, or reexamining your instructor identity along the way.
